Part‑Time Pharmacy Technician (Level 1)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a part‑time Pharmacy Technician 1 to support its pharmacy operations. Working under the guidance of a pharmacist, you will help prepare medications, manage prescriptions and maintain inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, input and verify prescription, refill and patient information while maintaining accurate records.
• Assist pharmacists in filling orders, preparing labels for unit doses and pre‑packaged pharmaceuticals.
• Receive, stock and organize incoming medical supplies and drugs.
• Refer provider calls and medication questions to the pharmacist.
• Participate in orientation and training to achieve competency in pharmacy technician duties.
• Stay current with pharmacy law, regulations, informatics and medication dispensing systems.
• Follow university and unit policies to safeguard assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State of Florida registration as a pharmacy technician.
• No prior experience required – new graduates welcome.
