Part‑Time Line Cook – PM Shift

About the role

The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg is seeking a part‑time Line Cook for the PM shift to prepare hot and cold menu items while upholding high standards of quality, presentation, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of hot and cold dishes, including salads, desserts, cold appetizers, grilled items, croutons, and cooked vegetables.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, deep fryers, ovens, electric slicers, and standard utensils following safety protocols.
• Manage inventory by retrieving, organizing, labeling, and rotating stock in refrigerators, freezers, and pantry areas.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized work environment and adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation, plating, and garnishing during peak service times.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional kitchen experience with solid knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety.
• Strong verbal communication and ability to work effectively in a high‑pressure, team‑oriented environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot, fast‑paced kitchen.
• Open availability for PM shifts starting between 2:30 pm and 4 pm, with flexibility for overtime, holidays, and weekends.
