Part‑Time Lecturer for Biotechnology Graduate Courses

About the role

Northeastern University seeks experienced biotechnology and biopharma professionals to teach graduate‑level science and business courses for its Biotechnology Professional Science Master’s program in Portland. The position is part‑time and may involve in‑person or online instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Review and learn key teaching points from existing instructor guides and prepare lectures based on provided materials.
• Facilitate respectful debates and discussions in class, whether on‑site or virtual.
• Provide timely grading, coaching, and feedback on assignments.
• Maintain regular communication with students regarding their performance and hold office hours as needed.

Required profile

• PhD in biotechnology or a closely related field, or a DBA/MBA with at least five years of industry experience in biotech, biopharma, or pharmaceuticals.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at a diverse higher‑education institution and willingness to receive coaching from faculty leads.
