Part‑Time French Language Teacher (Contract)

About the role

The Language and Communications Training Unit (LCTU) of the UN seeks qualified French language teachers on a part‑time contractual basis. Teachers will deliver scheduled lessons, assess student work, and support multilingualism across the Secretariat.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate each assigned French lesson according to the calendar.
• Correct assignments and homework promptly and provide weekly progress feedback.
• Administer, assess, and grade tests, exams, and evaluation tasks.
• Submit final student evaluations and attendance reports at the end of each term.
• Respond to LCTU and CDOTS staff emails within 48 hours.
• Participate in language‑project development, reporting progress and integrating supervisor feedback.

Required profile

• Fluent in French with proven teaching or tutoring experience.
• Ability to work independently as an individual contractor.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and maintain communication standards.
