Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer (Access Screening)

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time unarmed access screening security officer in Milford, MA. The officer monitors and patrols a technology, media and telecommunications facility, maintains a visible presence to deter security incidents, supports access control and provides customer service. The schedule is three nights per week, from 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of the facility, including interior work areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized access through a visible presence.
• Complete accurate activity reports and share observations, incidents and maintenance concerns with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: comfort with a computer or tablet, access control and badge experience, customer service experience and CPR certification.
• Background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment; licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local law.
