Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Driving Security Guard

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol driving security guard in Alpharetta, Georgia. The officer conducts routine vehicle and foot patrols at an industrial location, maintains a visible presence to deter incidents and supports a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. The schedule is day time, Thursday and Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of industrial facilities, equipment areas, access points, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual conditions to site leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document security-related activity and prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, maintenance concerns and other observations.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver's license in line with Allied Universal driver policy (required for driving positions only).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Preferred

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
