Part-Time Security Officer - Patrol Reporting

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, offers a part-time Security Officer position in Alpharetta, GA, focused on patrol reporting at a technology, media and telecommunications site. The role provides reliable, consistent hours with the option to pick up extra shifts through a claim-a-shift program, building toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and personnel at the site while carrying out security procedures, site policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points and perimeter to spot and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms and critical situations, documenting observations and notifying site contacts or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports and patrol documentation.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access to a background investigation and a drug screen, as required by law.

Required skills

• Alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Customer service experience, preferred.
