Part-Time Room Attendant - Housekeeper

About the role

A part-time Room Attendant is needed at Embassy Suites by Hilton Palm Desert in Palm Desert, California. The role keeps guest rooms clean and tidy to established standards, with a clear path of growth to Housekeeping Supervisor, Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms to established standards, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming within the allotted time.
• Greet guests warmly and change bed linens, replacing towels and other amenities.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, dust furniture, walls or equipment, and process guest items left behind according to lost and found policy.
• Notify managers of repair needs in guest rooms and follow safe work habits, protective equipment and MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform houseperson and lobby attendant duties when short-staffed or during peak periods, and work toward higher guest satisfaction scores.
• Perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
