Room Attendant - Luxury Hotel

About the role

Faena New York, a luxury hotel located at 500 West 18th Street overlooking the High Line, is hiring a Room Attendant. The position is full-time and pays $30.00 per hour. The Room Attendant ensures the cleaning and supply of guest units and the comfort of all guests according to Faena's procedures and standards, and complies with any additional requests arising from Housekeeping duties.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and suites following established procedures and standards
• Complete work assignments from the Housekeeping Department using keys, equipment and supplies
• Remove garbage and recyclables to the appropriate bins in the service area
• Offer courteous assistance to guests and prepare rooms for turndown
• Refill bath amenities bottles, water plants and remove or deliver flowers and other amenities
• Clean and maintain hotel terraces, the main guest entrance and the adjacent plaza
• Keep occupied, turndown and check-out rooms tidy
• Use PMS/app to receive assignments, handle DNDs, lost and found and report linen and equipment discrepancies to management
• Follow safety, fire and department policies, use PPE around biohazards, and respond appropriately to emergencies
• Report to work on time, adhere to meal breaks and payroll procedures, and follow the employee handbook

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in luxury hotel housekeeping preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Detail-oriented, quality-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Required skills

• Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols
• Time management and ability to meet room assignment deadlines
• Strong communication with colleagues and supervisors
