Part-Time Restaurant Host

About the role

Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington (IN) is hiring a part-time host for its Coaches Bar & Grill restaurant. The host greets and escorts guests to tables in line with guest service and sustainability standards, with a growth path toward food server, guest service agent, restaurant supervisor or front office supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet arriving guests, offer seating choices, escort them to their table and present the menu
• Read, maintain and update the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management
• Maintain proper dining room setup and assist with service as needed
• Receive reservation records and arrange reservations and special events
• Follow the EarthView sustainability program and safe work practices, including MSDS and OSHA standards
• Perform other duties requested by management

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, lift up to 30 pounds and perform bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling or crouching
• Schedule varies and includes holidays and weekends
