Part-Time Bartender - Coaches Bar & Grill

About the role

Hilton Garden Inn Bloomington (IN) is hiring a part-time bartender for its Coaches Bar & Grill. The bartender serves beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, aiming for a high level of guest satisfaction. The work schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends and different shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Serve beverages and/or food, and prepare and serve drink and/or food orders
• Maintain clean and organized bar areas, and slice and pit fruit for drink garnishes
• Check customer identification to verify age requirements for alcohol
• Take orders, serve and clear food and beverage for guests at tables in the bar and lounge, and issue guest checks
• Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
• Complete beverage requisitions to maintain par levels and assist with beverage inventory
• Follow sustainability guidelines under the HHM EarthView program, and practice safe work habits in line with MSDS and OSHA standards
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and perform other duties requested by management

Required profile

• Previous bartending or mixologist experience required, or equivalent training
• High school diploma preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, bend and reach

Required skills

• TIPS certification is a plus
• Food Sanitation certificate is a plus and must be obtained within 90 days of employment
