Part-Time Onsite Psychiatrist – Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a licensed psychiatrist to provide on‑site mental‑health services for a U.S. Naval Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan. This part‑time position involves direct patient consultations, participation in wellness programs, and on‑call coverage for emergencies and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and consultations as requested by Naval Hospital staff.
• Document procedures and care using HMSI standards and submit required reports.
• Participate in peer‑review, performance‑improvement, and Family Advocacy Program activities.
• Provide training and guidance to government employees, corpsmen, and students.
• Respond to emergency situations, follow established protocols, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Operate and maintain automated health‑record systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and the Clinical Information System (CIS).
• Adhere to Joint Commission standards, applicable laws, and military medical staff bylaws.

Required profile

• Board‑certified psychiatrist with a valid medical license.
• Eligibility to work in Japan for a U.S. Government contract (no H‑1B sponsorship).
• Willingness to work regular weekday hours (07:30‑16:00) and on‑call shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate with clinical staff and base personnel on mental‑health wellness initiatives.
