Part-Time Onsite Event Manager - Candlelight Concerts, Manchester NH

About the role

Fever, a tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a part-time onsite Event Manager for its Candlelight classical music concerts in Manchester, New Hampshire. Since 2019, Fever Originals has produced candlelit concerts in intimate venues across the world, and this role acts as the main point of contact for each event. Transport costs are included in the hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact onsite for events and staff, communicating directly with the Fever Originals manager
• Keep full visibility of the staff roster, set schedules and coordinate reschedules with the staffing agency
• Ensure each staff member is trained in their duties, such as ticket validation, seating guests and setting up candles
• Drive uHaul with event supplies between venues (alternative transport can be arranged); manage inventory and printing needs
• Manage guest lists and handle opening and closing remarks, which are usually recorded but may occasionally require public speaking
• Report weekly to project managers on event status, including pre- and post-event findings and feedback
• Occasionally help evaluate and run venue walk-throughs, and represent the Fever and Candlelight brands professionally

Required profile

• 1+ years of event management experience or a relevant degree (preferred)
• Passion for live music and organizing events
• Experience leading an on-site team and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems
• Use of a personal laptop is required; a driver's license is strongly preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of AV and PA systems (desirable)
• Customer service and team leadership

What we offer

• Pay of $25 per hour, with further details discussed in the interview
• 6-month contract, ideally starting as soon as possible, with shifts of 4-8 hours per day and a maximum of 29 hours per week
• Possibility to extend the contract after the first 6 months
• A paid trial work day before an offer is made
