Part-Time Night RN – Ortho Neuro (OLGMC 10C)

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Orthopedic Neuro unit on a part‑time night shift. This role leads patient care using the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes. The position emphasizes cultural sensitivity, quality outcomes, and alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe and effective patient care during night shifts.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide appropriate education.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze data and information to drive improvements and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Adapt communication and care approaches to respect patient privacy and cultural diversity.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• No prior work experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
