Part-time Limited-Term Faculty – Land Surveying

About the role

The Department of Geography and Anthropology at Kennesaw State University seeks part‑time, limited‑term faculty to teach courses in Land Surveying. This position supports the university’s mission to provide high‑impact teaching and to prepare students for careers in geospatial and surveying professions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in land surveying, including lectures, labs, and field exercises.
• Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments in alignment with departmental standards.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students enrolled in surveying programs.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and accreditation activities.
• Engage in scholarly activities or professional development related to surveying and geospatial sciences as appropriate.

Required profile

• Earned graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the college level, preferably in surveying or geospatial courses.
• Ability to work part‑time on a fixed‑term basis and to teach on‑site at the Kennesaw campus.
