About the role

The Department of Public Health and Health Sciences at Northeastern University is hiring part‑time lecturers for the Fall 2026 term on the Boston campus. The position is in‑person and focuses on teaching core public‑health courses.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare syllabi, lecture materials, examinations (including final exams) and evaluate student performance.
  • Deliver lectures for in‑person courses, hold office hours, and engage with teaching assistants.
  • Collaborate with lead faculty, department colleagues, and the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning on course revisions and improvements.

Required profile

  • At least a Master’s degree in a relevant field; doctoral degree preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred.
  • Ability to develop and implement course materials for in‑person instruction.
