Part-Time Housekeeping Turndown Attendant

About the role

Fairmont Kea Lani, a luxury oceanfront resort on the south shore of Maui in Wailea, is hiring a part-time Turndown Attendant. You will create a restful space for guests at the end of their day, taking pride in the attention to detail that makes them feel welcomed and cherished. The position is paid at $27.49 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Tidy occupied guest rooms, including turndown beds, dusting, arranging guest belongings, removing soiled linen, retrieving clean linen, vacuuming, replenishing amenities and cleaning bathrooms when required
• Report mattresses, blankets, bedspreads and valances that need changing
• Call in-room dining to remove trays and trolleys
• Update and record suite status (turned down, do not require service, Privacy Please, etc.) and take accurate room status reports at the end of the shift
• Maintain proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment, keeping linen closets, supply closets and landings clean
• Provide engaging, personalized, timely and efficient service, stay calm and courteous, and act as a trusted guide of the island and resort
• Follow company policies to protect guest and colleague safety, report suspicious persons and lost-and-found items, and follow emergency procedures

Required profile

• Identification proving authorization to work in the United States under IRCA; visa sponsorship is not offered
• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset
• Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision and to anticipate guest needs
• Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment, and ability to walk, stand, lift up to 50 lbs, push or pull up to 100 lbs, and occasionally climb ladders, stairs and ramps
• Willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays
