Part-Time Float Pool Nursing Assistant (CNA)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time float pool Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. The role assists in patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse, and the schedule is day shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately perform vital signs and document them in the electronic medical record.
• Document and report all procedures accurately and in line with department policy.
• Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Function appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies.
• Take part in practice changes from performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE correctly, perform hand hygiene and enforce safety regulations.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) preferred; Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) and EMT certification also preferred.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
