Part-Time Float Pharmacist

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is seeking a part-time Float Pharmacist to process prescriptions across Maine. The position is onsite, scheduled 32 hours per week during pharmacy hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and candidates must be available during that time. Locations include Portland, Biddeford, Augusta, Bangor, Wiscasset, Brunswick, Lewiston and Skowhegan.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
• Provide information to customers about medications and their use
• Focus on delivering a high level of customer service
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
• Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
• Perform any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Maine
• Certified immunizer, or willing to become one within 3 months of hire
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Preferred: current pharmacist license in New Hampshire or willingness to obtain it within 60 days; authorization to administer long-acting injectables or willingness to obtain it within 3 months

What we offer

• Hourly pay of $44-$79, depending on factors such as local labor market, education, experience and certifications
