Part-Time Faculty – Temporary Teaching Position

About the role

We are seeking part‑time faculty members to join the Academic Affairs team at University of Arkansas Community College Rich Mountain. This temporary, fixed‑term position involves delivering courses, assessing student performance, and supporting the academic mission of our two‑year public college.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and lessons in accordance with the approved syllabus and curriculum.
• Start and end classes on schedule, monitor attendance, and maintain accurate student grade records.
• Provide timely feedback, answer student questions, and address academic concerns.
• Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams promptly and fairly.
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce college policies and safety procedures.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge in the subject area and contribute to student success metrics such as licensure exam pass rates and retention.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Commitment to strict adherence to the syllabus and academic standards.
• Ability to manage class time effectively and monitor student attendance.
• Strong communication skills to provide feedback and resolve student issues.
• Experience in grading and evaluating student work in a timely manner.
• Understanding of classroom management and compliance with safety policies.
• Up‑to‑date expertise in the teaching discipline.
