About the role
The University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking a Workforce Education Instructor to lead its Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. This non‑tenure track faculty member will serve as EMS Program Director and primary instructor for EMS, NAEMT, and AHA courses, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all EMS program courses, maintaining CoAEMSP accreditation and ARDEMS compliance.
- Teach EMS, NAEMT, and American Heart Association (AHA) classes, including evening and online sessions.
- Develop and deliver continuing education courses for EMS and AHA certifications.
- Maintain clinical affiliate agreements and prepare required regulatory reports.
- Collaborate with the Advisory Committee and serve on university committees as assigned.
- Assist with curriculum development and stay current with online teaching requirements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in EMS, health, education, or a related field.
- Arkansas Certified Paramedic Instructor certification.
- Nationally Registered Paramedic status.
- Current, unrestricted paramedic license.
- Willingness to teach evening classes and participate in university service.
