About the role

The University of Arkansas seeks two distinguished scholars to fill endowed associate professor or professor positions in Art Education. These tenure‑track appointments are integral to the School of Art, supporting undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in art education.
• Mentor students, supervise theses, and guide graduate research.
• Maintain an active scholarly agenda, including publications, exhibitions, and grant acquisition.
• Contribute to curriculum design, program assessment, and accreditation activities.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service committees.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Art Education or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong record of scholarly work.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
• Ability to secure external funding and engage with community partners.
