Part-Time Day Shift Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Medical Surgical

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time day-shift Nursing Assistant (CNA) for its medical surgical unit in Lenexa, Kansas. The assistant provides patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse and works within the scope of practice.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of patient care by performing tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Accurately perform vital signs and document them in the electronic medical record.
• Document and report all procedures accurately and in accordance with department policy.
• Perform duties and patient care according to policy and procedure.
• Function appropriately within scope in clinical emergencies.
• Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) or Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) certification preferred.
• 1+ years of applicable PCT experience preferred.

Pay range: $16.42 - $26.28.
