Part-Time Caregiver

About the role

Brandywine at Haddonfield, a Monarch Communities senior living community, is hiring a part-time Caregiver. The role provides warm, engaging personal care, support and companionship to residents, helping them with their daily needs and encouraging their participation in community programs. The location is 132 Warwick Rd, Haddonfield, NJ, with a salary range of $20.50-$21.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding, as outlined in each resident's care plan
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Watch for changes in residents' day and personal care needs and update their Resident Care Plan
• Encourage resident participation in community programs and activities
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Make sure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe and fed during shifts
• Document services provided during each shift and report any change in a resident's condition to the supervisor immediately

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant); DHS certification also acceptable
• Positive attitude and enjoyment of working with people
• Knowledge and experience with the elderly population preferred; dementia experience preferred
• Able to stand, walk, sit, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and use proper body mechanics while lifting residents
