Part-Time Biopsy Service Associate – Oral Pathology

About the role

The College of Dentistry seeks a part‑time Biopsy Service Associate to support the Oral Pathology Service within the Diagnostic Sciences department. The associate will act as a liaison among clinical facilities, the laboratory, and billing partners, ensuring smooth, compliant processing of biopsy specimens.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact between the Oral Pathology Service, medical/dental facilities, and third‑party billing company.
• Provide front‑line customer service and administrative assistance for specimen accessioning.
• Coordinate billing activities and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Maintain timely and compliant laboratory operations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Minimum three years of general office or clerical experience.
• Self‑motivated with a commitment to the College’s success.
• Preferred: experience in a medical‑related role or customer service; degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
