Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

About the role

Hot Topic is looking for music and pop culture fans to join its Norfolk store as a Part-Time Assistant Manager, Level 1. You will support the store leadership team in delivering a great customer experience, help train new hires, and assist with daily operations and sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent shopping experience through product knowledge and customer service
• Cover the sales floor and give leadership support when the Manager is away
• Open and close the store as needed
• Work the register, process sales, close it out and report shortages or overages to the Store Manager
• Use add-on benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup to drive sales
• Understand the store sales plan, comp sales goals and key KPIs (UPT and ADT)
• Assist with planogram changes (store map, wall, fixtures and merchandising mix)
• Share fashion and music trend information with management and HQ partners
• Help prevent theft and keep the stock room organized and the store tidy
• Help build and retain a collaborative team, plus other tasks assigned by the Store Leader

Required profile

• At least 1 year of retail store experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to move around the store, handle merchandise with approved equipment and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds
