Part-Time Activities Assistant

About the role

Join a vibrant team at Cooper River Post Acute, a 176‑bed skilled nursing facility in Mount Pleasant, SC. As a Part‑Time Activities Assistant you will work alongside the Activity Director to create engaging, therapeutic experiences that enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well‑being of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading individual, small‑group, and large‑group activities.
• Create and maintain a fun, creative, and interactive activity program.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, games, reading, music, and social events.
• Support resident outings and transportation as needed.
• Develop monthly activity calendars and track attendance.
• Contribute to care planning, resident assessments, and progress documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Activity Department.
• Provide in‑room activities for bed‑bound or isolated residents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Creative mindset with willingness to engage residents.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and assist with resident activities.
