Paraprofessional II (Preschool) – 5 hrs/day

About the role

The district is seeking a Paraprofessional II to work in the SDC‑Preschool at Stella Brockman School. The position is part‑time, covering a five‑hour shift each weekday, with a half‑hour lunch break. The role supports classroom activities and ensures a safe, nurturing environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional and care activities.
• Supervise and engage preschool children during the scheduled shift.
• Follow district policies, including non‑discrimination and safety procedures.
• Maintain required documentation and attend to pre‑employment health screenings.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Either 48 semester units/Associate degree or successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test.
• One signed letter of recommendation.
• Resume and proof of education (or certified foreign evaluation).
• Pre‑employment TB clearance and fingerprinting at employee cost.

Required skills

• Basic paraprofessional proficiency as defined by the district.
