Paralegal – PII Compliance (Remote, $40-$70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Paralegal to support PII compliance and M&A documentation on a contract basis. This remote position offers flexible hours (10‑40 hrs/week) and competitive pay.

Key responsibilities

• Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to meet PII regulations while preserving data utility.
• Prepare and manage Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), and other critical deal documentation.
• Implement and maintain compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets.
• Advise clients on structural identifiability of confidential workflows and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII‑related issues and provide subject‑matter guidance.
• Assist in drafting and updating compliance policies and training materials.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with PII compliance in a legal or corporate environment.
• Ability to identify non‑obvious PII and apply advanced redaction techniques.
• Solid understanding of M&A processes, including familiarity with CIMs and SPAs.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and managing sensitive financial and corporate documents.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
