Paralegal / Legal Assistant – Litigation Support (Hybrid)

About the role

We are a fast‑paced boutique litigation firm in downtown Los Angeles seeking a highly skilled Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join a collaborative team supporting roughly 12 attorneys. The role is hybrid, offering a hands‑on position throughout the full litigation lifecycle, including an upcoming trial and complex state and federal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, format, and file pleadings in state and federal courts from inception to filing.
• Manage discovery and eDiscovery workflows using Relativity, including document review, production, Bates stamping, and redaction.
• Prepare Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities, conduct legal research, and ensure precise document formatting with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and PowerPoint.
• Support deposition and trial preparation by organizing exhibits, assembling trial binders, and assisting in trial strategy.
• Maintain calendaring systems (preferably Compulaw) to track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules.
• Communicate with courts, vendors, and internal teams while handling proofreading, correspondence, and file management.

• Detail‑oriented professional comfortable juggling high‑level paralegal duties and essential legal assistant tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment and work closely with attorneys on critical case work.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to meeting strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Relativity eDiscovery platform.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint for document preparation.
• Experience with Compulaw or similar calendaring systems.
