Paralegal II, Litigation & Employment

About the role

Lyft is seeking a proactive Paralegal II to support its Litigation & Employment legal team. You will work closely with in‑house counsel to investigate claims, manage case documentation, and ensure efficient legal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, track, calendar, and file responses to claims and legal requests.
• Conduct independent factual investigations for administrative claims, demand letters, and litigation matters.
• Prepare memoranda, summaries, and draft responses for supervising attorneys.
• Gather documents and information for discovery or information requests.
• Complete court or agency filings and attend hearings or conferences.
• Identify and implement process improvements to scale legal operations.
• Liaise with internal teams and external parties to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide legal support to attorneys, paralegals, and business partners to maintain compliance.
• Lead projects within broader legal strategies in collaboration with team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant legal experience; law firm experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a notary license.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptionally organized and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in a Mac environment.
• Experience with Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with e‑discovery tools.
