Paralegal – Employment & Compliance

About the role

The Paralegal will join LA28’s legal team, supporting employment and compliance matters while driving the timely delivery of operational contracts for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, this role offers exposure to a wide range of legal documents, negotiations, and dispute‑resolution activities.

Key responsibilities

• Track and maintain business entity documents related to state registration, charitable status, and tax.
• Draft, file, and organize legal documents and records.
• Create and manage compliance tracking systems, training materials, and support resources.
• Identify, draft, and update legal documents for LA28 websites and internal communications.
• Participate in dispute‑resolution teams for employment and data‑privacy matters, including document review.
• Draft and review operational contracts for services and products across pre‑Games, Games, and post‑Games phases.
• Negotiate contracts with internal partners and external vendors, managing timelines and expectations.
• Prepare collateral documents for RFPs, NDAs, and other negotiations.
• Compose confidential correspondence, memos, contract summaries, reports, and presentations.
• Manage sensitive information and ensure proper document handling processes.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on special projects.
• Serve as liaison between department heads and the legal team.

Required profile

• Strong independent judgment with the ability to lead contract delivery.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of operational contracts.
• Familiarity with compliance tracking and legal document management.
• Experience participating in dispute‑resolution or data‑privacy matters.
• Ability to act as a liaison between business units and legal counsel.
