Packing and Inventory Crew Member

About the role

A ServiceMaster Restore franchise in North Richland Hills, Texas, is looking for a full-time Packing and Inventory Crew Member. The job involves packing and wrapping customers' belongings for storage, using the company's inventory and scanning software, and supporting claims documentation after water, fire, smoke, odor, mold or reconstruction losses. The franchise is independently owned and operated.

Key responsibilities

• Pack and wrap customers' belongings to move them into their storage location.
• Use the company's inventory and scanning software on a day-to-day basis.
• Maintain daily communication on job progress with office personnel and obtain proper photo documentation.
• Document a written list and photos of non-salvageable items to provide to insurance companies as needed.
• Clean affected structures and contents after fire and/or water losses and after construction work.
• Work in extreme weather and in homes without power, with a mandatory on-call rotation for emergency losses.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Ability to work in a team, follow company guidelines and stay on task after receiving instruction.
• Good verbal and written communication and customer service skills; can read and follow product label instructions.
• Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 70 pounds, standing and walking for long periods, and lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching; must be able to wear a sealing respirator when required.
