Packaging Operator – Lithium Hydroxide Production

About the role

We are seeking a Packaging Operator to run carbonate conveying and hydroxide packaging equipment for lithium hydroxide products. The role supports the Salts Area production line, ensuring bags, drums and supersacks are filled according to product standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor processing and auxiliary equipment, detect malfunctions and either repair or generate work orders.
• Collect product samples and submit them to Quality Control for testing.
• Update the Safety Incident Management System (SIMS) with incident or near‑miss information.
• Operate forklifts, power tools and specialized packaging machinery following SOPs.
• Maintain inventory of packaging materials and ensure proper housekeeping.
• Follow RCRA, SPCC and Hazmat regulations and guide others to do the same.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
• Technical diploma, associate degree or certification in Chemical Process Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work across receiving, plant stores and shipping functions.
• Certified to operate power industrial trucks.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR, IATA and IMDG regulations and DOT container‑loading requirements.
