Overnight Houseperson – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

Join the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg as an Overnight Houseperson, responsible for maintaining spotless public areas, guest rooms, and back‑of‑house spaces during night hours. Your work ensures a welcoming environment for guests and smooth operations for the next day.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and stairwells to uphold high hygiene standards.
• Perform floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Assist with light housekeeping in guest rooms to meet cleanliness standards before check‑in.
• Maintain janitorial supplies inventory and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
• Support custodial operations in back‑of‑house areas and service corridors.

Required profile

• Prior experience in hotel or hospitality cleaning, janitorial, or custodial work.
• Ability to work independently overnight with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to cleanliness.
• Experience with industrial or commercial cleaning practices is a plus.

Required skills

• Floor care techniques: stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, safety procedures, and proper equipment use.
