Overhead Crane Operator

About the role

The Overhead Crane Operator is responsible for safely lifting, positioning, and moving materials throughout the production floor. This role ensures compliance with Red Dot’s safety policies and operational procedures while supporting efficient workflow in the fabrication shop.

Key responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes safely within the fabrication shop and production areas.
• Perform pre‑operation inspections of cranes, chains, slings, hooks, and all rigging attachments.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate crane movements and maintain a safe work environment.
• Adhere to crane load limits, proper rigging practices, and Red Dot safety policies and SOPs.
• Participate in required safety meetings and training programs.
• Support safety initiatives and productivity improvement projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Completion of Red Dot’s required crane safety training video.
• Signed acknowledgment of the Crane Operator Job Description.
• Demonstrated ability to operate assigned equipment safely.
• Compliance with all requirements outlined in Red Dot’s Safety Manual.
