Outreach Liaison (5.5 hrs/day)

About the role

The August Knodt School is seeking an Outreach Liaison to support community engagement and public communications on a part‑time basis (5.5 hours per day). This position works closely with school staff, local agencies, and service‑oriented organizations to promote the school’s programs and foster collaborative relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact between the school and community partners such as law enforcement, social services, clergy, youth programs, and non‑profits.
• Assist with the development and distribution of public communications, newsletters, and informational materials.
• Coordinate outreach activities, events, and meetings that enhance the school’s visibility and community support.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and liaison activities.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent (accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education).
• Desirable: some college coursework and work experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years clerical experience, preferably in an educational setting or with public communications.
• Experience collaborating with service‑oriented community agencies.
