Outpatient Pelvic Physical Therapist

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Outpatient Pelvic Physical Therapist at its Sports Med and Rehab location in Celebration, Florida. The position works in a day-shift setting and offers either a five-day eight-hour schedule or a four-day ten-hour schedule. The anticipated minimum pay rate is $35 per hour, with a pay range of $66,268.80 to $123,281.60.

Key responsibilities

• Determine physical therapy diagnoses and establish a plan of care, recommending referrals when treatment is needed outside the physical therapist's scope.
• Design and implement treatment plans based on practice standards, techniques, modalities, insurance guidelines and patient needs.
• Assess patients' ability to perform functional mobility safely and evaluate muscles, nerves, joints and skin.
• Monitor patient response and progress, modifying the treatment plan as appropriate.
• Support consumer marketing and public awareness through community events, educational lectures and speaking.
• Oversee the care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides, and support quality standards and performance improvement initiatives.
• Document and charge accurately and timely, and participate in marketing to physicians to build referral relationships.

Required profile

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist - Temporary (PT-TEMP); licensure or certification standards apply.
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification required.
• Doctorate preferred; experience with pelvic floor patients preferred.
• Background screening under Florida law may apply.
