Ophthalmic Technician / Patient Counselor

About the role

NVISION® Eye Centers is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician / Patient Counselor to join our team. You will be responsible for patient work‑up, education, and follow‑up while supporting surgeons in the exam lane and surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain medical and surgical histories and complete all diagnostic testing.
• Perform auto‑refractions, topographical mapping, wavefront analysis, lensometer, pachymetry, and visual acuity measurements.
• Assess pupil size and response, operate slit‑lamp microscope, applanation tonometer, and instill eye drops.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care instructions and support.
• Assist in surgery by preparing the laser room, supplying sterile equipment, and managing supplies.
• Maintain outcome data, ensure forms are complete, and order medical supplies.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and emergency troubleshooting.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience as an Ophthalmology Technician (preferred).
• Strong desire to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
