Ophthalmic Imager (Full-Time) – Doral, FL

About the role

The University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Imager to join its Doral clinic. You will perform a variety of ocular diagnostic tests using specialized imaging equipment and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR/PACS system.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including color fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, indocyanine green angiography, optical coherence tomography, automated perimetry, slit‑lamp photography, external photography, and ocular motility photography.
• Document procedures and upload images to the electronic medical record and PACS platform.
• Maintain patient‑centric care, adhere to privacy and safety regulations, and follow infection‑control protocols.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, organize clinical rooms, and restock supplies.
• Travel to satellite eye centers as needed and work evenings or weekends when required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in ophthalmic imaging or a related clinical setting.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Basic knowledge of ocular anatomy, function, and motility.
