Operations Technician – Refinery

About the role

The Operations Technician will work on a 12‑hour rotating shift at CITGO’s Corpus Christi Refinery, providing hands‑on expertise in both maintenance and operations of refinery process units. This position ensures safe and efficient product processing across multiple work units.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pressures, levels, flows, and temperatures using dedicated instrumentation and gauges.
• Operate and perform basic maintenance on refinery‑related equipment.
• Maintain overall worksite safety and compliance with operational procedures.
• Support product processing operations in various units on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Required profile

• Degree in Petrochemical Technology or related field, or two‑year college degree, or five years of industry experience with a high school diploma.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including overtime.
• Ability to pass background check, medical exam, and obtain a valid TWIC card.
• Current state‑issued driver’s license.
