Operations Senior Manager – New Ulm, MN

About the role

3M is seeking an Operations Senior Manager for its New Ulm, MN facility. The role will lead plant‑level strategy, drive continuous improvement and ensure delivery of quality products to customers. You will work closely with manufacturing engineering, product divisions and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term strategic and operating plans for the plant.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering Managers and Product Divisions to implement Customer First initiatives focused on service, quality and cost.
• Prepare, manage and monitor the annual operating budget.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement projects across the organization to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce total cost.
• Communicate priorities, expectations and results to all employees in the focus factory.
• Provide direction and supervision to direct reports using principle‑based leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least eight years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality or environmental health and safety.
• Minimum five years of direct supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to work with multiple divisions and balance competing priorities.
