Operations Manager

About the role

Professional Plastics is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its manufacturing team in Ogden, UT. You will be responsible for driving quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a climate‑controlled facility that produces engineered plastics, composites, and fabricated parts.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across all operations.
• Oversee production and warehouse teams, guaranteeing parts are made to print and orders are fulfilled on time.
• Manage raw material inventory, receiving, and order fulfillment processes.
• Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance for CNC panel saws, CNC routers, Formers, and other equipment.
• Control daily production schedule, reduce set‑up times, and improve machine utilization.
• Perform cost analysis, monitor dimensional and cosmetic quality, and manage work‑in‑progress levels.
• Address production delays, meet on‑time delivery targets, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of customer complaints and implement lean, continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate capital equipment projects and collaborate with sales and customer service.
• Manage the fabrication profit and loss statement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations leadership within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record of safety management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop operational staff.
• Experience managing budgets, cost analysis, and P&L responsibility.
