Operations Manager - Behavioral Health

About the role

Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is opening its first North Carolina clinic in early 2027 and is looking for an Operations Manager to join the founding team. The clinic provides Joint Commission-accredited PHP and IOP mental health care for teens ages 13-17 and their families. The position is full-time, on-site in Mooresville, NC, Monday to Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM, at $65,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily PHP/IOP operations, scheduling and program workflows
• Hire, train, supervise and coach the operations team
• Manage staffing, coverage, attendance, census and intake coordination
• Support behavioral needs, de-escalation and a safe, structured environment
• Monitor documentation, incident reporting and regulatory standards
• Partner with clinical leadership, therapists, admissions and families
• Coordinate supplies, facility needs and administrative operations

Required profile

• 2+ years in education, youth services, behavioral health or operations leadership
• Supervisory experience with strong coaching and accountability skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Ability to pass required background and drug screening
• On-site availability Monday-Friday, 11 AM-7 PM (fixed schedule)
