Operations Leadership Development Manager

About the role

The Operations Leadership Development Manager will design, implement, and oversee learning solutions that build leadership capability across Walt Disney World Resort operations. Reporting to the Manager of Instructional Design, you will partner with senior leaders to translate business goals into impactful development programs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify leadership capability gaps by building deep knowledge of operations and business priorities.
• Translate organizational values and expectations into cohesive learning journeys.
• Lead discovery sessions with executives and internal partners to define outcomes and co‑create solutions.
• Design and deliver instructor‑led, virtual, blended, cohort‑based, and self‑directed programs.
• Apply adult‑learning and experiential principles to ensure skill transfer and behavior change.
• Manage end‑to‑end development initiatives, including scoping, planning, risk management, execution, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with graphics and multimedia teams to produce on‑brand, visually compelling content.
• Ensure all solutions meet quality, legal, safety, and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience creating learning solutions using instructional design models.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
• Knowledge of video scripting and production.
• Comfort working in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate content strategy to diverse audiences.
