Operations Lead

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Operations Lead to drive the critical and expanding SPRINT Center operations in Raynham, MA. The role oversees shop personnel, advances quality, capacity, and capability of manufacturing, and aligns shop functions with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all SPRINT Center Raynham shop operations across multiple shifts.
• Coordinate shop workload to optimize resource utilization and operational efficiency.
• Ensure all shop activities comply with the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Resolve complex manufacturing and engineering challenges using critical thinking.
• Foster a collaborative team environment across functional groups.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance development for direct reports.
• Identify, implement, and monitor business process improvements.

Required profile

• Technical High School Graduate or equivalent.
• 6 to 8 years of direct experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.
• Fluency in English and ability to work on‑site five days per week.

Required skills

• CNC manufacturing equipment operation (Mills, Lathes, Wire EDM).
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing principles and capacity planning.
• Financial competence and basic understanding of lean technologies.
• Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and SAP Product Lifecycle Management.
• Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) basics.
