Polish Operator 1 – Orthopaedics

About the role

Join Johnson & Johnson's Orthopaedics division to operate diverse machinery in a manufacturing cell, producing medical instruments and implants. You will ensure production targets, product quality, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance are met.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment (CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, CMM, grinding, lathes, mills, laser etching, packaging) according to manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Inspect in‑process and finished products using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Perform routine equipment care such as coolant checks, fluid level monitoring, chip removal, belt changes, and chemical maintenance.
• Complete rework on non‑conforming parts and collaborate with cell leaders to resolve quality issues.
• Follow FDA QSR, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 requirements and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 5‑25 lb regularly and occasional items over 50 lb.
• Willingness to learn and follow department‑specific procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, CMM, grinding, and manual/automatic equipment.
• Use of measuring instruments: gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, go/no‑go gauges, conductivity meters.
• Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and deburring knives.

• Base salary range $34,100 – $54,395 per year.
