Polish Operator 1 – Orthopaedics Manufacturing

About the role

The Polish Operator 1 works in an orthopaedics manufacturing cell, operating a variety of machinery to produce medical instruments and implants. The role supports production targets, product quality, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, CMM, grinding, laser etching and other equipment according to manufacturing processes.
• Inspect in‑process and finished parts for dimensional and cosmetic specifications.
• Assemble, package, and label orthopaedic devices following established procedures.
• Perform routine equipment care such as coolant checks, fluid level monitoring, chip removal, belt changes and chemical maintenance.
• Complete rework on non‑conforming products and collaborate with quality and production teams to resolve issues.
• Document inspections, work instructions and traceability records in compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred; at least six months of relevant experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift 5‑25 lb regularly and occasional items over 50 lb.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards and professional ethics.

Required skills

• Operation of CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses and laser etching equipment.
• Use of measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, go/no‑go gauges, conductivity meters and digital titrators.
• Proficiency with hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers and deburring knives.
