About the role

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Operator will contribute to the manufacturing of electrical cables following the plant’s production methods. The position is primarily night‑shift (midnight to 8:00 am) or a 12‑hour night schedule (4/3 non‑rotating) at the St‑Jérôme facility.

Key responsibilities

• Start and run a machine to initiate a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine parameters such as speed and raw‑material feed.
• Monitor raw‑material supply to ensure continuous production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the shift.
• Inspect finished product for errors or defects.
• Maintain production logs and activity records.
• Perform daily machine checks to guarantee functionality.
• Collect and label product samples for quality‑control inspections as needed.
• Assist with equipment setup when required.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented with the ability to assume individual responsibilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in industrial production, preferably as a machine operator.
• Motivated, engaged and safety‑conscious.
• Familiarity with a production environment and ability to monitor machine performance.
