About the role

The Department of Decision, Operations, and Information Technologies at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking an open‑rank tenure‑track faculty member to advance research and teaching in artificial intelligence and its applications to business and policy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑impact research in AI, publishing in leading journals and conferences.
• Teach undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD courses, integrating cutting‑edge AI insights.
• Supervise student research projects and theses.
• Participate in departmental, school, and university service activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Demonstrated record of quality research in AI with business or policy relevance, commensurate with experience.
• Evidence of effective teaching and the ability to develop new AI‑focused curricula.
